The Praxis Series™ by ETS®

The Praxis Series™ tests are for American teacher certification. Various Praxis tests are generally required in most states along with education courses.  They usually consist of two tests, Praxis I® and Praxis II®.  Since some states allow prospective educators to obtain licensure without taking Praxis tests, please research the test requirements for your state at the Praxis website.

Praxis™ (Core)

The Praxis™ (Core) tests are designed to measure basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics.  They are designed to replace the Praxis I® tests.

Praxis I® Pre-Professional Skills Tests (PPST®)

The Praxis I® tests are designed to measure basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics.  The Praxis I® will no longer be available in South Carolina after August 2014.

Praxis II®

The Praxis II® tests measure knowledge in specific subject areas for elementary and secondary educators.  The tests also include general knowledge and specific subject matter relating to teaching skills.

ETS-PRAXIS will facilitate its own payment and scheduling policies on its website and may contact you via email.
